Edinburgh's Ice Rink (aka Winter Wonderland) is a temporary, outdoor ice rink set up in East Princes Street Gardens, during the course of Edinburgh's Christmas festivities (24th November - 3 January 2011, from 10am).
For the grown-ups, there's mulled wine and mince pies or shortbread as well as hot coffee, tea and hot chocolate.
As well as the attraction of skating under the stars, the ice rink hosts live entertainment and Santa puts in a regular appearance (Sat 3 Dec and Sun 4 Dec at 3:20pm and daily from Sat 10 Dec at 11:20am and 4:20pm). There's also a Baby Warming Bubblepod with a play area and facilities for warming food and baby-changing.

- Sun – Wed: 10am – 8pm
- Thu – Sat: 10am – 10pm
- Christmas Eve: 10am – 6pm
- Christmas Day: Closed
- Boxing Day: 11am – 8pm
- Hogmanay: 10am – 6pm
- New Year’s Day: 12noon – 10pm
Ice Rink Ticket prices
- Adults £9.50
- Children under 16 £8.00
- Children under 5 £5.50 (£1.00 discount with own skates)
- Family Ticket: two adults & two children (over 5) or one adult & three children (over 5) £30.00
- Youth Groups (one adult supervisor free for every five children) £4.50
- Schools (one adult supervisor free for every five children) £4.00
