No longer used for Sunday services, the building is owned by Stockbridge Parish Church in Saxe Coburg Street as a centre for community activities. The fine acoustics of this expansive building have made it a popular venue for choral concerts and music recitals.
During the Fringe 2010, the Traverse shows two plays at St Stephen's Centre.
St. Stephen's Centre hosted the Assembly Aurora Nova programme of innovative music and dance performance at the Edinburgh Fringe 2001-2007.
