The very sad news was received over the weekend of the untimely death of John Ritchie, who was one of the founder members of this website way back well over ten years ago.
John died in the Royal Infirmary, Edinburgh, where he had been taken after feeling unwell on Wednesday last week.
We are immensely grateful for the enormous enthusiasm that John always displayed for his media work and for the very considerable contribution that he made to this web site.
A fuller appreciation will appear shortly, but we would wish to extend our condolences to his ever loving partner Catriona and to his daughter Hynde, of whom he was so very proud.

Very sad news,especially feeling it for my best friend Annaliese Ritchie,who was his first born child,for such a respected gentleman I find it hard to comprehend that he refused to acknowledge her as his own(even after naming her)during his life time.her heart is broken,not for her present loss but for the loss of a fathers love she never had.media reports state he had one daughter,how hurtful that feels for her is beyond words but yeh,what a great guy he was.
