Keen Edinburgh singers are taking part in a weekend of gospel-style singing workshops with igospel UK from Friday 16 January to Sunday 18 January.

More than 90 singers have already signed up and women's places for the
weekend are now full, but there are still a few men's places remaining.
See contact details below for information on how to take part.

Workshops will be all about learning to sing Gospel-style in a choir. There will also be a chance for some solo work for those who want to give it a go.

On the Sunday evening there will be a presentation to friends and family and the adult singers will be joined by the Edinburgh Schools Gospel Choir, who are also rehearsing over the weekend.

As well as producing large successful concerts in the Royal Albert Hall and the South Bank centre, igospel UK also run a number of adult choirs in London boroughs.

The Gospel-style singing sessions will be led by David Levale, Artistic Director of igospel uk. The music taught will be a mixture of original and contemporary Gospel style songs.

Male singers interested in taking part in the weekend should contact Jane MacLeod, Development Officer - Vocal & Choral Music, on 0131 469 3953 or email [email protected].
