Description

The UN International year of Sustainable Energy for All finds us with various tools with which to confront the climate change crisis.

Edinburgh Medal recipient and NASA scientist Dr James Hansen is an advocate of next-generation nuclear power. He has also advocated directly charging carbon-emitting industry in the US and redistributing that income equally among registered citizens as a simple, market-driven way of tackling climate change.

Hansen and a panel of experts will talk about the various energy options.

Hosted by Ian Sample (The Guardian).
