The Foodies Festival in August was a fabulous sunny outdoor party at Inverleith Park.
As we head towards Christmas, Foodies is back with a sparkling Festive weekend from 1 – 2 December, this time inside at the EICC.
Stock up on gourmet and local artisan food, wines and gifts, taste a range of champagnes, Australian and Portuguese wines, sip Hendricks gin, sample speciality beers, the finest malt whiskies, and learn all about mixing cocktails and party drinks.
Warm up with a mug of mulled wine with a mince pie as a choir of singers entertain you with a few Christmas carols.
In the Chefs’ Theatre, Jeff Bland of The Balmoral, Mark Greenaway of Restaurant Mark Greenaway and other top Chefs will be sharing their kitchen secrets to fine dining. Edinburgh New Town Cookery School is presenting a series of inspiring Masterclasses to show you all about party canapes, mince pies and cake decorating. Selected events are aimed at children for an afternoon of family foodie fun. With the ever-growing popularity of TV food programmes from Masterchef to Bake off competitions, there seems to be a new passion for cooking and entertaining at home.
