Maggie’s Ladies Love Lunch at The Sheraton

Description

Calling all ladies who lunch – The Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa in Edinburgh is hosting a special feel-good fundraiser for Maggie’s Cancer Caring Centres on Friday 4 February in its elegant Edinburgh Suite.

Sue Finlay, Director of Sales & Marketing at The Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa, said: “We are delighted to, for the first time, be organising our own charity lunch in our continued support of Maggie’s Edinburgh, whom we have been working with for the last two years.”

Ahead of Valentine’s Day, the Ladies Love Lunch is a chance for women to spread the love a little further for this fantastic cause, to dress up, and enjoy an afternoon with the girls that is sure to banish the winter blues. It is also an ideal networking opportunity for women in business.

Hosted by comedian and radio presenter Fred MacAulay and featuring Janet Ellis as a special guest speaker, the Ladies Love Lunch event includes a glass of fizz on arrival, three-course lunch with half bottle of wine, the chance to receive a relaxing mini treatment from the award-winning One Spa’s expert therapists, and the opportunity to win a range of fabulous raffle and auction prizes.

Janet Ellis said: “I have been a supporter of Maggie’s Cancer Caring Centres for five years and am proud to be Patron of the London Centre. I’m looking forward to coming to Edinburgh in February, where Maggie’s originated. By joining me at this event, you will be helping Maggie’s to make a difference for people living with, through and beyond cancer.”

Fred MacAulay said he is “delighted to be involved with this event for a very worthwhile charity, and really looking forward to seeing Janet Ellis”.

As always, the chefs at the Sheraton Grand have created an imaginative menu for the event with a tantalizingly fruity dessert.

Marion Taylor, Community Fundraiser, Maggie’s Edinburgh, said: “We are grateful for the continued support from staff and guests at the Sheraton Grand and One Spa, which to date has raised a staggering £16,000 for Maggie’s.” She continues, “This event will kick start our 15th birthday celebrations, and it will be fantastic to have Fred and Janet there.”

Maggie’s Cancer Care Centres provide information, advice and support for those experiencing cancer, and their loved ones.

The Ladies Love Lunch event, starting at 12.30pm, costs £55 per person or £550 per table of ten including a glass of fizz on arrival, three-course lunch and half bottle of wine. To book, please telephone 0131 221 6445 or email [email protected].
