Let me just make one thing clear. It's really hard to review a show when the person doing the show makes comments on people who review shows. You still with me? David O'Doherty made a fair point when he said that shows that are hyped rarely live up to expectations. So, without hyping up too much, I will simply say that this was one of the most enjoyable hours I have ever spent.

Clearly sitting with avid O'Doherty fans, I was instantly charmed by his this Irish brogue. To be honest, anyone from Ireland or Northern Ireland could easily charm me, as I am all about the accent these days.

His wonderfully open and honest comedy covered subjects ranging from technology to how there is so much pressure on finding "the one." Never have I seen someone with observations that ring so true. The one thing that I really liked was O'Doherty's embracing of life, which he takes by the horns and shows us all in this mesmerising hour of comedy and songs.

There was an incredible truth in the statements he made, and for a man who claims not to know much about technology, his observations are bang on the mark. With a slight air of innocence that is nothing short of endearing and fascinating.

So, without hyping it up too much and as I said before, just spare an hour to check out his show. I guarantee that you too will leave with a new need to grasp what you have been given in life. And if you have never heard of this man? Definitely make the effort to check him out.
