Running time

There may be no such thing as a free lunch but there is still a free fringe event. OK, there may be a bucket collection at the end, but in relative terms, this is as close to free as anything gets these days!

Part of it takes place in the cabaret atmosphere of Fingers piano bar in the form of Underword where you can hear ‘free spoken word' every night.

There is an open mic night every Monday, there are groups, there are big names from the world of poetry like Anita Govan, Kevin Cadwallender and the larger than life Glaswegian performance poet Robin Cairns.

On Wednesday 26 August there is a sex themed charity night. How good is that!?

Clearly, I have not, nor can I see every show. The star rating is for the concept and for staying in the spirit of the Fringe.

Times: 8-29 August, 7.50pm - 8.40pm
