A hearty celebration of books nestled in Edinburgh's West Port community. Run on a shoestring budget and a healthy dose of goodwill and with some of the world's finest literary types in attendance, the Westport Book Festival takes place across 9 dusty bookshops and a bookbinder in the area from Bread Street to the historic Grassmarket.
Featuring chatter, readings and book repair workshops, the festival is a celebration of the spoken word, with the odd drop of booze thrown in.
