Kath Mainland, the chief Executive of the Fringe Society, launches the Edinburgh Fringe Programme earlier this morning. It was a cagier atmosphere than in the past, after last year's box office fiasco and, more recently, fall-out from the credit crunch, which has seen Fringe Sunday cancelled this year.
