Formerly the Royal Dick Veterinary College, this historic building near the Meadows has been transformed into a vibrant multi-arts venue, with its cafe/bar a central meeting point.
It carries a full programme throughout the year: Summerhall includes art exhibitions, libraries, small museums, educational and research programmes, with artist studios & workshops, including for film and TV, dance, and events for kids including during the Edinburgh International Science Festival during the Easter holidays.

During the Fringe, Summmerhall's labyrinthine space, its inner courtyard, and free-rolling spirit makes it a focal point for cutting edge theatre, cross-arts performances and other shows.
