Like many clubs in the area, this long-running, live music and clubbing venue is based in a deep, subterranean vault on Victoria Street in the Old Town.
A place to see up-and-coming bands: Smashing Pumpkins, Moby, Divine Comedy, Stereophonics, Travis and Coldplay had their debut Scottish performances here, and it was a natural place for gigs at the contemporary music Edge Festival during the Fringe in August.
The Liquid Room is big on clubbing. Club nights mid-week and weekend are a mixture of house, indie rock, pop, and retro.
