The Mound precinct is reinvented for the duration of the 4-day Edinburgh’s Hogmanay festival as Resolution Square, with a host of live entertainment to be found here at what organisers as the "new hub" for Hogmanay in 2010-2011.
Musicians Aidan O’Rourke, Brian Kelloock and friends, get the festivities under way at this free, unticketed launch event.
A little later in the evening there is the Torchlight Procession.
