Classic old, locals' bar, originally built in 1899, next to Leith's former Central Station. The railway station closed in 1972, but today the tram tracks run down Leith Walk past the front of the bar.
The bar has an impressive interior with its mosaiced walls, tall mirrors and four large tiled panels of traditional sporting scenes.
The Central Bar’s cellar appeared in Trainspotting 2 as the location for Begbie and Sickboy’s reunion.
Live music. Open daily 9am to 12am (Fri/Sat to 1am).
