Hello! I'm a musician from Canada and am really interested in booking my trad jazz swing band at the Edinburgh Jazz festival as we're going on a Euro tour in '09, but I can't find any deadlines or contact information for the organization. Anyone have any details?? Also, I'd love some tips on booking some shows at the jazz clubs around, but am unfamiliar with Edinburgh; does trad jazz have a scene there at all? Does any kind of jazz??

There's more info about the 2007 jazz festival here and here - you'll see that there is quite a strong traditional element. You could try the Jazz Bar as they have gigs all the time - and other bars often feature live jazz, although not sure that is what you had in mind...
