Waterways Trust Scotland Walks Programme

Step
into Spring

Waterways
environmental and heritage charity, The Waterways Trust Scotland, is running a 12 week-long walking programme to encourage
people improve their lifestyle.

Anyone
can take part in the walking programme and the guided walks will take in the Union Canal and
Water of Leith, providing an opportunity for participants to get fit and learn
about the local environment at the same time.

Walks
are suitable for all ages and all abilities. Each walk will last approximately
one hour. All walks are on Saturdays, starting at 10am.

19 April
– start Meggetland Bridge on Colinton
Road; finish Dell Inn on Lanark
Road.

26 April
– start junction of Hailesland Road and
Clovenstone Road Wester Hailes; finish Water of Leith Visitor Centre

3 May –
start Glenlockhart Road; finish
Edinburgh Quay

10 May –
start Woodhall Road, Colinton Village; finish
Water of Leith Visitor Centre

17 May –
start Arnold Clark Mortors, Gorgie Road; finish
Oglivie Terrace, Shandon

24 May –
start Edinburgh Quay; finish Water of Leith Visitor Centre

7 June –
start Dell Inn, Lanark Road; finish
Water of Leith Visitor Centre

14 June

21 June
