Fri 3rd Oct - Trouble: Octogen LIVE (Soma), Man Make Music DJs, Hobbes & Erik d'Viking

For the new season's Trouble, we're doing what we do best, by embracing the old skool while simultaneously ushering in the new.

OCTOGEN LIVE (SOMA)

Marco Bernardi has been making quality electronic dance music for over a decade for labels such as Glasgow’s Soma and Rotterdam’s Clone.  Since the success of his debut Octogen album, 2fiveonine, which picked up Album of the Month in three UK dance music publications (IDJ, M8, DJ Mag) and Album of the Year in DJ Mag 2007, Marco can name Laurent Garnier, DJ3000 and Claude Young amongst his fans.  His new Gindofask album is up to the same classy calibre and we're expecting a set of timeless, energetic electro from him.

MAN MAKE MUSIC DJS

Sketchy & Another Amit make their Scottish debut at Trouble, the brains behind London’s acclaimed Man Make Music nights. Sketchy promises ‘anything from the bass/rowdy stuff like fidget, jackin, dubstep, ‘wonky’, bassline and b-more through to more tech, jackin tech and tech house’ while Another Amit plays anything synthetic, bassy, bouncy and with doof, from dubstep, garage and bassline through to melodious and minimal tech house.  Having caught them in action at this year’s Secret Garden Party, we can assure you it will be the business!

HOBBES & ERIK D’VIKING (TROUBLE DJs)

Trouble DJs post-set in the Bestival Big Top_small.jpg

The Trouble DJs are just back from Bestival, where they played to a packed out Big Top (some six thousand people, people)) on the Friday night in support of Chromeo, Santogold and, err, The Breeders!  So, they'll be raring to get stuck in too.

Old skool?  Nu skool?  Who cares?  In our book, it’s all simply timeless dance music.
