The Edinburgh Quartet gets their
49th season underway with a series of concerts at the Stockbridge Parish
Church, Edinburgh. The series will see the Quartet celebrate the music of Mendelssohn and
Haydn in recognition of their 200th anniversaries of birth and death
respectively, whilst adding an Eastern European flavour to their programmes. With 6 concerts in the series, the Edinburgh
Quartet will play all six Mendelssohn String Quartets and the complete Op. 64
set of Haydn Quartets.
