Waverley Care, Scotland’s leading charity providing care and support to people living with HIV and Hepatitis C, is delighted to renew its special relationship with Bob Chilcott, one of the UK’s foremost composers and conductors of choral music, for a unique concert at St Cuthbert’s Church, Edinburgh.

The charity is now into its 13th year of running highly successful ‘come and sing’ events, which have raised in excess of £110,000.  On Saturday 21st February, Waverley Care will venture into a new area of music, providing singers with a rare opportunity to sing choral pieces written in a jazz style and accompanied by a jazz trio.

The event features a number of items for Waverley Care ‘come and sing’ chorus, all written by Bob Chilcott, including “A Little Jazz Mass”, an inspirational and soulful setting of the Latin “Missa brevis” and jazz arrangements of well known folk songs, including “Waltzing Matilda” and “The House of the Rising Sun”, which Bob has dedicated to Waverley Care.

The concert also includes performances by renowned Edinburgh Jazz Musicians,  David Patrick (piano); Mario Caribé (bass) and Stuart Brown (drums) and by Edinburgh Concert Band’s Jazz Section.
