Vashti Bunyan plays Oxjam Music Festival

Cult legend Vashti Bunyan will headline Oxjam Music Festival’s 2009 swan song at Roxy Art House on Friday 27 March.

The rare appearance from the godmother of freak-folk comes eight years after the re-issue and widespread discovery of her debut album – 35 years after she had “abandoned music forever”.

Supporting Vashti at The Roxy is accomplished duo Lucky Jim, performing songs from their debut album and revisiting work from Gordon Graham’s musical past with The Lost Soul Band. Also playing will be Amplifico singer Donna Maciocia and friends.
