Medieval music specialists Gaïta present a new selection from the Cantigas de Santa Maria from 13th Century Spain. These entertaining and amazing songs recount miracles of Santa Maria, who helps everyone from drunk monks and pregnant abbesses to a poor woman who has lost her sheep.
The cantigas are performed in a delightful mix of song, narration and instrumental music on medieval instruments.
