Gilded Balloon has been at the cutting edge of new comedy talent at the Edinburgh Fringe for over 24 years and this autumn we are taking some of the best new stand-up comedians on a Scottish Comedy Circuit this autumn.These comedians represent the best in UK Comedy and for 5 nights, Scottish audiences from Dundee to Inverness will have the chance to see a fabulous line up of magic, music and comedy.

Elvis McGonagall

Stand-up poet, armchair revolutionary and recumbent rocker, Elvis McGonagall is the sole resident of The Graceland Caravan Park somewhere near Dundee where he scribbles verse whilst drinking malt whisky and listening to Johnny Cash. Elvis is the 2006 World Slam Champion, the compere of the notorious Blue Suede Sporran Club and is one of the poets occasionally in residence on BBC Radio 4’s “Saturday Live”

Bruce Morton
Glaswegian comic Bruce Morton came onto the comedy scene in 1988, winning the first ever So You Think You're Funny? new act competition at the Edinburgh Fringe. Scotland ’s acclaimed comic, storyteller and social commentator was a founder of the Funny Farm Comedy Collective which in 1989 helped kick-start the Scottish stand-up scene.

Jo Jo Sutherland
This charismatic mother of four is taking the comedy world by storm. She is a regular at most clubs in Scotland including The Stand comedy club where she alternates between her regular set and compering. Her "healthy neglect" approach to parenting forms the backbone to her material interspersed with everyday grievances and motherly advice, delivered to her audience with hysterical results.
