Jarred Christmas Stands Up

Jarred Christmas Stands Up

Jarred Christmas is a Stand Up. It’s what he does best.  But he’s not very good at standing up for himself.

Jarred Christmas Stands Up is a collection of charming and honest tales including growing up in a military family in NZ, standing up to a figure of authority for the first time and having to defend himself against an onslaught of furious Michael Jackson fans.

The show is also about taking pride in what you do and who you are.  In Jarred’s case, stand up comedy:

“For a long time when asked what I did for a living, I wouldn’t tell. But now I am proud that my daughter’s birth certificate says ‘Father’s Occupation: Comedian.  Now I just have to live up to it.”

Jarred’s impressive improvisation and unrivalled energy bring a completely fresh unpredictability to his shows.  Never afraid to look to the audience for inspiration, no two shows are the same, and audiences will walk away knowing they’ve experienced something unique.

He has had a fantastic year building on his reputation in the comedy world with sell out solo shows, a starring role in a BBC2 sitcom, appearing on Mock the Week, 8 Out of 10 Cats, Big Brother’s Big Mouth, winning a Chortle award and performing at the gala show for the prestigious Montreal Just for Laughs festival. This is a comedian who the world can expect to see a lot more of in the future, and Jarred Christmas Stands Up promises to be his best show yet.
