The Street Party (tickets, review) is perhaps the best-known event in the 3-day Edinburgh's Hogmanay Festival. The New Year street party is a ticketed event that in 2018-2019 runs for seven hours the length of Princes Street, with live bands, a carnival atmosphere and dancing in the street.

Symphonic Ibiza

A two hour concert in which a live 20 piece orchestra fuses with high tempo beats from renowned club DJ Andy Joyce, for a selection of Ibiza dance classics from over the last 20 years.

The stats bear that out: 2018 will see 56,796 performances of 3,548 shows in 317 venues across Scotland’s capital city. It's a sprawling, anarchic, sleepless month of live performances. There are hundreds of free shows and pay-what-you-want shows at the Fringe as well.
