Portobello Town Hall role as a community centre has been traced back to 1914 and it continues to that end today. Porty Town Hall is managed and developed by a charity called Portobello Central SCIO.
After a successful campaign to save the Town Hall, the charity's focus is on maintaining and developing it and the surrounding grounds as recreational facilities to enhance citizenship, improve lives and develop its communities.
Its building has two independent rooms for hire alongside a crush foyer, kitchen and green rooms.
