East Fortune airfield saw action in two world wars. It's now the location for the National Museum of Flight, which brings together the story of aviation from the First World War to the present day through exhibitions inside and outside the airfield's hangars.
The Museum includes film presentation and an on-board audio tour of Concorde. It also includes recently conserved air raid and blast shelters, that were likely used by airfield personnel during wartime attacks.
The Museum is part of the publicly funded National Museums Scotland group.
The National Museum of Flight is under an hour's drive from Edinburgh.
