Old world charm in New Town setting (Rose Street, believe it or not). Bar was apparently founded in 1859, and has a lived-in, bric-a-brac, antiquey interior to show for it. Reliable pub grub like fish 'n' chips, and a good selection of ales, whiskies and other drinks.
