Traditional bar on the Royal Mile, named after its address, 1 High Street. The pub serves cask ales and good selection of whiskies. Pub grub served daily noon to 9.30pm and Friday Saturday until 10pm.
The figurehead above the pub entrance is of a member of the Royal Company of Archers, the monarch's ceremonial bodyguard in Scotland, with his traditional green uniform on and a long bow in hand.
Open Sunday to Wednesday 11am til midnight and Thursday to Saturday 11am to 1am.
