Carnivore announced on 5th February 2023 that it would close and sold off its liquor a few days later.
"Our bar at 208 Cowgate ’The Carnivore’ sadly will not be reopening. A sign of the times perhaps.
We are though left with a lot of great memories and a lot of great whiskies!! And other great spirits!"
