Critics Award for Theatre in Scotland Ceremony
One for theatre-lovers this one. The annual ceremony for the eighth Critics' Awards for Theatre in Scotland returns to the Edinburgh Festival Theatre for a second time. CATS celebrates the actors, directors, playwrights and other theatre artists who are deemed to have made the most thrilling contributions of the year 2009–2010.
Previous winners, including The Wonderful World of Dissocia (2005), Black Watch (2007), Blackbird (2007) and Peer Gynt (2008), have gone on to be staged across the world to critical and public acclaim.
David Tennant (pictured) won the Best Actor Award in 2005, for his performance as Jimmy Porter in the Royal Lyceum Theatre's Look Back in Anger, before coming to national fame as Doctor Who.
The ceremony will feature "celebrity guest presenters and a post-show chance to mingle with the winners".
Tickets are £15
