Edinburgh Festival Carnival

22 Jul 2012 - 2:00pm - 4:00pm A new, free, family event in the festival calendar, the Carnival has been initiated by the Edinburgh International Jazz and Blues Festival but takes in all manner of music, dance, costumes, and street entertainment on Princes Street and in Princes Street Gardens.
The EIJBF promises "samba from Brazil; the top New Orleans Brass Band; funky beats from Italy; carnival dancing from Trinidad; scratching DJ's, pipe band, accordion bands, and brass bands with rock n'roll attitude; there are performers from Martinique, the Bahamas, Germany, England, as well as from Edinburgh."
Rose Street will be hosting street theatre from 1-4pm.
