Description

Scottish Love in Action (SLA), the charity helping destitute children in India, returns in 2023 after an absence of two pandemic years with its annual, Guy Fawkes fireworks extravaganzas on Sunday the 5th November at George Watson's Rugby Ground at Myreside Road, Edinburgh. As in previous years, there are two shows.

Tickets for these fireworks displays usually sell out well in advance. 

  • Sunday: Early Show – Gates open 4pm – Entertainment starts 4.30pm (ends 5.30pm)
  • Sunday: Late Show – Gates open 6.30pm – Entertainment starts 7pm (ends 8pm)

The Programme

An evening of Scottish-Indian fusion with live music, dance, and tasty local food culminates with a fireworks display by 21cc.

Headlining the event is tartan-clad Clanadonia, a group that combines high energy tribal rhythms and bagpipes.

Also appearing will be: 

  • Dance Ihaymi, Scotland’s Indian dance company dedicated to Indian classical dance.
  • The Delighters with a blend of fire, circus and theatre, along with Jusztina Hermann, an Edinburgh based performance artist and director.

There will also be hot food, drinks and Halloween tuck provided by various caterers.
