The Concert in the Gardens, part of the 3-day Edinburgh's Hogmanay Festival, takes place in a ticketed area in Princes Street Gardens West within the Edinburgh's Hogmanay Street Party arena. The Ross Band stand provides a dramatic setting under Edinburgh Castle rock.

The 2017/2018 Concert in the Gardens is headlined by Rag’n’Bone Man.

in 2016/2017, West Coast star Paolo Nutini played two Edinburgh's Hogmanay concerts in Princes Street Gardens on 30th and 31st.

In 2015/2016, Biffy Clyro headlined with special guests Idlewild and Honeyblood.

In 2014/2015, Lily Allen headlined, with Australian ABBA group Björn Again, kicking off the evening, followed by Grammy award winning dance/R&B superstars Soul II Soul.

In 2013/2014, The Pet Shop Boys headlined, with Edinburgh's own Nina Nesbitt and The 10:04's also performing.

In 2012/2013, headliners Simple Minds were joined by The Maccabees and The View.

In 2010/2011, Scottish Rockers Biffy Clyro headlined, with The Charlatans joining them at the Hogmanay bash.

In 2008, the Concert in the Gardens was headlined by big beat electronic dance act Groove Armada; shaggy, West Coast groovester Paolo Nutini, and St. Albans, indie-pop band Friendly Fires.


£60 (£55 + £5 booking fee) for The Gardens area.

£70 (£65 + £5 booking fee) Enclosure area. Access stage side bars, food stalls and toilets.

£155 (£150 + £5 booking fee). Premium area. Elevated views of the main stage, Princes Street Gardens and Edinburgh Castle. Access to a private bar and food area, where ticket holders can purchase refreshments, private toilets.
