Great Scottish Santa Run
Bellies will bounce and beards fly when hundreds of santas make their annual charity jog through Princes Street Gardens. At two laps around the gardens, even the most sleigh-bound santa shouldn't have too much of a problem.
Registration for the event has gone up £2.50 this year to £12.50 for adults (includes a free Santa Suit and medal) and £7.50 for children under 12 years old (includes a free Elves Hat and medal). Under-3s are free.
It's all for a good cause: proceeds from the Great Scottish Santa Run will be donated to When You Wish Upon A Star. The charity specialises in "making dreams come true" for children with life-threatening illnesses.
As in previous years, registration starts at 9am, warm-up is at 10am, and the run commences at 11am.
