Tribute Bands Flock to the Brunton This Autumn!

Maybe Rolling Stones fans couldn’t get tickets to see the actual band on their sell out tours, but this Autumn The Brunton in Musselburgh is offering what looks to be the next best thing. On Saturday September 13 tribute band The Stones bring to the stage all the energy and excitement of a live Rolling Stones concert, playing a serious tribute to the original band’s classic music.

The spotlight inevitably falls on frontman Ben Wattam, who performs the role of Mick Jagger. Well known hits like as "Satisfaction", "Start Me Up", "Honkey Tonk Women", and "Jumpin’ Jack Flash" to name but a few will feature. Sounds like a great tribute to a great band!

Later in the month, The Hollywood Bees, perform a warm and nostalgic two hour show featuring timeless hits from the Clarke and Nash years and Crosby Stills and Nash. The show is now entering its 4th year and the Bees reputation has spread to Australia and Germany where they have been offered concert tours. The powerful, distinctive, catchy melodies with trademark harmonies are treated in their own fashion but true to the original recordings.

“Those pristine harmonies aren’t easy to pull off, and their legacy is better honored by the Hollywood Bees, the U.K.-based Hollies tribute act.” Los Angeles Times

David Bowie is widely regarded as one of the most influential innovators over the last five decades and this September Ultimate Bowie pays tribute to the work of this global super-star. Ed Blaney not only possesses Bowie's vocal prowess but is also a Bowie look-alike . Blaney blends past and present, showing the many sides of Bowie's personality and takes the spotlight as he leads an eight-piece band goes through Bowie’s early years with hits such as Starman to songs like Let’s Dance, China Girl, and many more.

The Songs of Sister Act brings stars from London’s West End, The Singers of Soul Choir and a full live band. The venue will fill with the sound of those famous Gospel hits from the smash hit movies Sister Act. This unforgettable show will include songs such as Oh Happy Day, Joyful Joyful, Shout, Ain’t No Mountain High Enough, Hail Holy Queen and many many more! Fancy Dress Encouraged!
