Edinburgh Graduate Theatre Group (EGTG) announces 2018 productions

Edinburgh Graduate Theatre Group (EGTG) has been putting on theatre productions in Edinburgh for over 60 years and has established its place as one of the city’s most respected amateur companies gaining a reputation for tackling challenging contemporary work

This coming season, EGTG will put on a total of six productions including 2 one- act plays that have already been entered in the Scottish Community Drama Association One Act Festival. There will be the usual mixture of classic literature and contemporary pieces, with two Shakespeare classics, Macbeth and Much Ado About Nothing; Samuel Adamson’s All About My Mother based on the screenplay by Pedro Almodóvar; and a new piece of writing from EGTG member Claire Wood, skirt that will be co-directed with Alan Patterson and deals with the ever present yet currently controversial issue of sexual harassment and discrimination.

EGTG kicks off its 2018 season at the Scottish Community Drama Association One Act Festival that takes place between 15th - 17th February 2018 at the Church Hill Theatre with Caryl Churchill’s A Number, directed by Angela Harkness-Robertson and The Ram in the Thicket by Glen Mhor directed by Hannah Bradley.
