Summerhall Live Music Prog 'Nothing Ever Happens Here...' Opening March

Summerhall in Edinburgh presents a new regular live music programme Nothing Ever Happens Here... in its 450 capacity Dissection Room platforming local and touring bands starting on 26th March 2015.

Jamie Sutherland of Edinburgh band Broken Records, who are headlining the first show, has been working alongside the multi arts venue to put together a great line up of acts confirmed so far:

  • ​01/05/15 - Rozi Plain + Eagleowl + Supermoon (with Lost Map Records + Tradfest)**
  • ​06/05/15 - R.M. Hubbert + Lypsync for a Lullaby + Tisso Lake
  • ​07/05/15 - Randolph's Leap + The Son(s) + Book Group
  • ​08/05/15 - Withered Hand + Woodpigeon + Eyes of Others
  • ​09/05/15 - Teen Canteen Present "The Girl Effect" for Scottish Women's Aid ***

The gigs will feature at least one Edinburgh band on each bill and the venue will remain open until at least 1am with a selection of DJ's and other events to be announced. Nothing Ever Happens Here... will continue all year round including every weekend during the Festival Fringe.

Jamie Sutherland of Broken Records and Summerhall says:​

"Nothing Ever Happens Here... is the imprint for the new music night at Summerhall arts venue. We hope to become a home for grass roots music in Edinburgh and to fill the hole in small to medium sized venues in Edinburgh. In the bowels of the old Dick Vet school, we hope to foster a spirit of cross collaboration between musicians, visual artists and the community at large to create a unique gig venue and experience, utilising the best of emerging and established Scottish talent."
