One of a number of Edinburgh's boarding schools, David Bryce's neo-Gothic chateau building is distinguished by its tall spires and gargoyles, surrounded by large grounds.

Fettes pupils have included former Prime Minister Tony Blair and actress and Edinburgh International Film Festival patron Tilda Swinton. The fictional James Bond also spent part of his education here.

At the Fringe, from 22 to 24 August, the 250-seater Fettes College Marquee hosts the Fettes Jazz Festival. Internal and external bars, bbq foood and views of the city.
