Family Fun this Hogmanay at the Brunton

Following its 2012 and 2013 Hogmanay celebrations, The Brunton is delighted to announce its Hogmanay celebrations in the Honest Toun for 2014.

Wednesday 31 December sees The Brunton, Musselburgh host a day packed with activities for families to celebrate Hogmanay. A Lantern Parade from 6.30pm led by the Edinburgh Samba Band and walk-about characters leads to a Fireworks Display at 7.30pm on Fisherrow Links that goes on till 8pm – all free!

Paid ticketed events run from 11am – 5pm and include ceilidh dancing, workshops, face painting, activities, storytelling from Sonsie Music with Moose in the Hoose and Yugen Puppet Theatre with Little Princess Gold tree and a traditional panto that this year is Jack and the Beanstalk. Food will also be available.

Fiona Hyslop, Cabinet Secretary for Culture and External Affairs, said:

Hogmanay Celebrations in the Honest Toun are supported by East Lothian Council and through Scotland’s Winter Festivals.
